Detailed Directions

Llandudno is approximately 5 miles from Conwy, 50 miles from Chester and 40 miles from Holyhead. If you are arriving by public transport, then by prior arrangement, Gareth or Claire will meet you at the rail or coach station, and return you there at the end of your holiday.

BY CAR
The A55 Expressway from Chester has substantially cut journey times to North Wales. The drive from Chester is less than one hour. The M56 motorway links Chester to the M6 and M1.

BY TRAIN
Frequent direct trains run from Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. Inter City trains run direct from London Euston to Llandudno Junction in just over three hours.

BY COACH
National Express run services to Llandudno from many parts of the United Kingdom.

BY SEA
Irish Ferries and Stena Line provide a few services each day from Ireland to Holyhead. The fast ferry takes just ninety-nine minutes. The A55 dual carriageway connects directly to the dock leaving only the last 3 miles to Llandudno as single carriageway. The driving time to Llandudno from Holyhead has been reduced to one hour.

BY AIR
Manchester Airport is approximately 80 miles from Llandudno and trains from the airport rail station run regularly to Chester with connections to Llandudno.

Approaching Llandudno By Car

The Cliffbury Guest House can be easily reached by using any of the three approach roads;

1.Taking the A470 from the A55 signposted LLANDUDNO.
After three miles you approach the town along CONWAY ROAD. a dual carriageway. Keep to the left as you pass the ASDA Store on your left. Follow the road past the railway station which is on your left, and then turn left at the first set of traffic lights into TRINITY AVENUE. Take the fourth exit on the right into ST DAVID'S ROAD and the THE CLIFFBURY is almost immediately on the left.

2.Taking the A546 exit from the A55 signposted CONWY and DEGANWY.
Follow the road through DEGANWY. As you drive along MAESDU AVENUE you pass Maesdu Golf Club and then cross over the railway line into Bryniau Road. Take the second exit on the right into TRINITY AVENUE, and then the fifth exit on the left into ST DAVID'S ROAD and the THE CLIFFBURY is almost immediately on the left.

3.Approaching the town from Colwyn Bay over the Little Orme on the B5115.
At the first roundabout as you drive along the promenade, take the first exit. Go straight on at the second roundabout and the third exit at the next into CONWAY ROAD. Keep to the left as you pass the ASDA Store which is on your left. Follow the road past the railway station which is on your left, then turn left at the first set of traffic lights into TRINITY AVENUE. Take the fourth exit on the right into ST DAVID'S ROAD and the THE CLIFFBURY is almost immediately on the left.
